1. Agreeing to these terms
CandleEasy™ is owned and operated by Savant Goods & Services LLC (“CandleEasy”, “we”, “us”), based in West New York, New Jersey, USA. By using candleeasy.com you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The CandleEasy app and its paid plans are not open yet. They will come with their own terms, which you will see and accept before you sign up.
2. The free calculators and resources
The calculators and resources on this site are free to use, with no account needed. You may use their results for your own candle making and your own candle business. They are offered for education and planning — the Disclaimer explains their limits and is part of these terms.
3. The waitlist and emails
Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t create a purchase, a subscription or any obligation on either side. We plan to open CandleEasy to the waitlist first, but we can’t promise a launch date, features or prices. By joining, you agree that we may send you emails about CandleEasy; you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Using the site fairly
Please don’t:
- copy, republish or sell our content, guides, calculators or data, in whole or in large part;
- scrape, crawl or download the site with automated tools, except search engines indexing it;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site or its services;
- copy or reverse-engineer the site’s code or features;
- use the site — including the waitlist or contact forms — for anything unlawful, or to send spam, threats or harmful content.
Quoting a short passage with a link back to the page is welcome. We may block access to anyone who breaks these rules.
5. Who owns what
The site — its text, guides, photos, design, calculators, databases (such as the wax, wick and supplier directories) and code — belongs to Savant Goods & Services LLC or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws. CandleEasy™ and our logo are trademarks of Savant Goods & Services LLC.
Names of suppliers, waxes, wicks, fragrance oils and other products belong to their owners. We use them only to identify those products; it doesn’t mean they endorse CandleEasy or that we are connected with them. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, tell us through our contact form and we will look into it promptly.
6. Links to other websites
We link to suppliers, standards bodies and other sites we think are useful. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
7. No warranties
We work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose — to the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Savant Goods & Services LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the free website, its calculators or its content. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Your responsibility
If you misuse the site or break these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims that result for Savant Goods & Services LLC, to the extent the law allows.
10. New Jersey and other consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law where you live. If you are a New Jersey resident: sections 7 (No warranties), 8 (Limits on our liability) and 9 (Your responsibility) apply to you only to the extent permitted by New Jersey law, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New Jersey law, including the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.
If you are a New York resident, nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New York consumer protection law. If you are a California resident, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
12. Changes and the rest
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given it up. These terms, with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the website. We may communicate with you electronically, and you agree that those communications meet any legal requirement to be in writing.
