1. Who we are and what this covers
CandleEasy™ is owned and operated by Savant Goods & Services LLC (“CandleEasy”, “we”, “us”, “our”), based in West New York, New Jersey, USA. We are the business responsible for the personal information described here.
This policy applies to:
- visitors to candleeasy.com and its pages;
- people who use the free calculators and free resources;
- people who join the waitlist or receive our emails;
- people who send us a message through the contact form.
It does not cover other websites we link to, such as suppliers’ shops — they have their own policies. The CandleEasy app is not open yet; when accounts, paid plans or app features arrive, we will update this policy before they go live, and tell the waitlist.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist: your first name, last name and email address, and which page you signed up from.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
Information created when you use the site
- Waitlist dates: when you signed up, when we sent your welcome email and, if you unsubscribe, when you did.
- Spam check: both forms note how long the page was open before you pressed the button, to tell people from robots. We check that number once and do not store it.
- Technical information: like every website, the services that deliver our pages and run our forms receive your IP address, browser and device type, and the page or address requested. They use it to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Your privacy choice: stored in your own browser, not sent to us (see our Cookie Notice).
What we do not collect
- The numbers you type into the free calculators — they run entirely in your browser and are never sent to us.
- Payment details, passwords, precise location, or any sensitive information (such as health, government ID or financial account numbers).
- Information from data brokers, social networks or advertising networks.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
3. How we use your information
We will not use your information for a new purpose that is not compatible with these without telling you first and, where the law requires it, asking for your consent.
5. How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to tell you about CandleEasy. If you unsubscribe, we keep a note of that so we never email you again — unless you ask us to delete everything.
- Contact messages: in our inbox for as long as needed to help you and keep a record of our conversation, then deleted.
- Technical information: kept by our providers for a short period for security and reliability.
6. How we protect it
Every page and form uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. The waitlist is locked so that only our own server code can read or add to it — the website itself has no access to the database. Our email inbox is not shown anywhere on the site.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law — including New Jersey’s and New York’s breach notification laws.
7. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Know and access — confirm whether we hold information about you, and get a copy;
- Correct — fix anything that is wrong;
- Delete — remove your information;
- Take it with you — receive it in a common, portable format;
- Stop emails — or simply use the Unsubscribe link in any email;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting what we did before.
How to make a request
Use our contact form and tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm the email address the request is about, so that we never hand your information to someone else. You may also use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they act for you. We answer within 45 days, and if we need more time (up to a further 45 days) we will tell you why. Requests are free.
Appeals
If we decline your request, we will explain why. You can appeal by sending us a message through our contact form starting with the word “Appeal”; we will answer within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General (in New Jersey, the Division of Consumer Affairs) or, in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency.
No discrimination
We will never treat you differently, deny you anything or charge you more for using your rights.
8. State privacy rights
Some state laws apply only to larger businesses. We follow the rights below for everyone, whether or not a law requires it of a business our size.
New Jersey residents
Under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act you have the rights listed in section 7 — to confirm and access, correct, delete and get a portable copy of your personal data — and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. CandleEasy does none of those three things. You may appeal any decision as described in section 7.
New York residents
We keep reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for personal information, as the New York SHIELD Act requires, and we will notify affected New York residents of a security breach as the law requires.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, in the last 12 months we have collected:
- Identifiers — name, email address, IP address — from you and your device, for the purposes in section 3;
- Internet activity — pages requested, browser type — from your device, to deliver and secure the site.
We disclosed these only to the service providers in section 4, for business purposes. We have not sold or shared personal information, we do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16, and we do not collect or use sensitive personal information. You have the rights in section 7 plus the right to opt out of sale or sharing — which we already don’t do — and to limit the use of sensitive information — which we don’t collect. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Residents of other states
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and other states with privacy laws have the same rights described above, including appeals.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across other websites. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising, and we keep any optional tools off. Browsers’ older “Do Not Track” setting has no common standard; because we do no tracking, it makes no difference here.
10. Emails from us
We email only people who asked to hear from us. Every email names CandleEasy and Savant Goods & Services LLC and has an Unsubscribe link; most email apps also show their own Unsubscribe button. One click is enough — no sign-in, no explanation — and we act on it right away.
11. Children
CandleEasy is made for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you believe a child has given us information, tell us through our contact form and we will delete it.
12. Visitors from outside the US
CandleEasy is run from the United States, and our providers store information there. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the US, and we rely on our providers’ standard safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for those transfers. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights in section 7, can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and may complain to your local data protection authority.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell the people on our waitlist by email before it applies.
