Candle making involves real risks
Candle making uses open flames, hot wax and fragrance oils that can be flammable or irritating. Always follow your suppliers’ instructions and Safety Data Sheets, keep a fire extinguisher close, never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep candles and supplies away from children and pets.

Every wax, wick, fragrance, dye, vessel and room behaves differently.
Always run a full burn test on every candle formula before you sell or gift it — and test again whenever you change the wax, wick, fragrance, fragrance load, dye or vessel. Nothing on this site tells you that a candle is safe; only your own testing can do that.
