1. The short version
- This website does not run AI on you: there is no AI chat, and the free calculators are plain math that runs in your browser.
- Some pictures on the site were made with AI image tools. Our photos of real candles, burn tests, the studio and the founder are real.
- Our guides and articles were compiled with the help of AI, and each one lists its sources.
- The CandleEasy app, when it opens, has a few AI features. They make suggestions — you decide.
- We do not use your information to train AI, and we do not sell it to AI companies.
2. AI on this website
candleeasy.com has no chatbot or AI assistant, and nothing you type on the site is sent to an AI service. The free calculators and tools work out their answers in your browser with fixed formulas; the waitlist and contact forms go to us, not to an AI.
3. Pictures
Some illustrations and pictures on the site were made with AI image tools, from our own ideas and instructions. They are not copied from other people’s work. They decorate the pages; they never stand in for a real result.
Photos and videos of real candles, burn tests, our workspace, the founder, and screenshots of the app are real and our own. If you believe any picture on the site uses your work, tell us through our contact form and we will look into it promptly.
4. Guides and written content
Our guides and articles were compiled with the help of AI, from published sources — standards bodies, government pages, wax and wick makers’ data sheets and other guidance. Each guide lists its sources at the end.
AI can get things wrong, and so can people. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through our contact form and we will correct it. Nothing on the site replaces your own burn test — see our Disclaimer.
5. AI in the CandleEasy app
The app is not open yet. When it opens, these features will use AI:
- Magic Fragrance Scan reads a fragrance oil’s published note list from the supplier’s page and writes a plain-language summary of a blend. The scores themselves come from our own fixed rules, not from AI.
- Name ideas suggests names for a blend from its oils and notes.
- Receipt reading pulls the items and prices from a supply receipt you paste, for you to check before anything is saved.
- Supplier papers finds a number such as the flash point on a safety data sheet you upload, and shows where it found it; nothing is filled in until you choose to use it.
These features use AI services from Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude). Each feature sends only what it needs — for example, an oil’s name and notes, not your recipe notes or account details. AI suggestions can be wrong: check them, and always burn test.
Before the app opens we will update this policy and our Privacy Policy with each AI provider, what it receives, and how long it keeps it.
6. Your information and AI
We do not use your waitlist details, your messages, or anything you save in CandleEasy to train AI models, and we do not sell or give your information to AI companies.
Search engines and AI assistants may read our public pages — the guides, calculators and free downloads — so they can point candle makers to them, just as search engines always have. They never see the waitlist, messages or anything behind a sign-in.
7. Changes and questions
If we add or change how we use AI, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Use our contact form.
