What’s on the label

The warning triangle and WARNING, then: to prevent fire or injury, remove all packaging before use. Use only in a tealight warmer or a UL-listed electric warmer made for wax melts, and follow the warmer’s instructions. Never leave a warmer unattended while in use. Keep wax and warmers away from children and pets. Wax melts are not edible.

Under HOW TO USE: never add water or fragrance oil. Never light the wax or melt it on a stovetop or in any other appliance. Use in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable materials. Stop when less than ½ inch of wax remains in the dish.

Every size carries the full text. On the smaller labels the text is smaller, so check that you can read it before you print a batch.

Choosing a size

Each sheet is laid out on a real Avery template, so it prints straight onto that sticker sheet: 2″ square — Avery 22806 (12 per sheet), 2″ × 4″ — Avery 5163 (10), 3″ round — Avery 94513 (6) and 2½″ round — Avery 22830 (9). The 2″ square fits the lid of most clamshells; the larger sizes suit bags and boxes.

Print at 100% / actual size, never “fit to page”, and try one sheet on plain paper first.

A starting point, not your whole label

These labels cover how to use melts safely. Your full label may need more — your business details, net weight and anything your state requires. See candle label requirements. CandleEasy does not certify that any label meets a standard. The wax melt and candle care instructions give your customers the longer version.

Common questions

What should a wax melt warning label say?

Remove the packaging before use, use only a tealight warmer or a UL-listed electric warmer made for wax melts, follow the warmer’s instructions, never leave a warmer unattended, keep wax and warmers away from children and pets, never add water, never melt it on a stovetop, and stop when less than ½ inch of wax remains in the dish.

What size label fits a wax melt clamshell?

The 2″ square label (Avery 22806) fits the lid of most clamshells. Measure yours first.

Can I add my business name and address to the label?

That is a CandleEasy members’ feature: fillable versions of all four sizes where you type your business name and address once and every label on the sheet fills in.

Why is the printed label the wrong size?

Print at actual size (100%), not “fit to page”, and test on plain paper first.

Is this the only label my wax melts need?

No. It covers safe use. Check the full label requirements for what else your label needs.
