Why a month at a glance helps with testing
A burn test is spread over many days. Each tester cures first, then burns in cycles — one supplier’s basic test method puts the candle out after no more than four hours and lets it cool at least five hours before the next cycle — and the test continues until only about ¼ inch of wax is left. Several testers at different stages are easy to lose track of in your head, and easy to see on a calendar.
Retesting matters too: supplier lots and materials can change, so some makers retest an existing candle when a supply or a season changes. Mark those retests on the month you plan them. More in the burn test guide.
How makers use it
Write a tester’s pour date in its day and its cure end date a few weeks later, mark the days you plan to light each tester, and block out markets and order deadlines. Seeing pours, cures and burns on one page makes it easier to keep testing without losing track.

Yes. Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Christmas are marked on their day.
